Last November 3rd we hosted a workshop in Spain, here the video of it! 🌻

In response to the sobering statistic that 61% of European soils are degraded, the European Union has spearheaded initiatives to combat this pressing issue. Among these efforts, BENCHMARKS stands out, aiming to develop a nuanced monitoring framework tailored to the unique soil landscapes of each European country. In the first stages of the project, BENCHMARKS has conducted numerous workshops for all parties, including one last November 3rd in La Junquera, Spain, where two of our agricultural case studies are being conducted. 🌍🌱

The Healthy Soils for Agricultural and Forestry Resilience in Southeast Spain workshop was attended by over 50 stakeholders, including farmers, policymakers, researchers, private sector representatives, and members of associations and cooperatives, and it had different types of activities to foster an alliance between stakeholders. This workshop was crafted by Commonland, Regeneration Academy, and the CSIC, and it collaborated with Climate Farmers, AlVelAl, La Junquera, and Aland. One of the outcomes of the workshop was the following video, now available on our YouTube channel. 🚜🤝
