BENCHMARKS’ workshops and what you need to know

Benchmarks always has something coming up! What do we do at the workshops? Are they open to the public? Below, you can find all the answers

In July 2023, the European Commission introduced a Soil Health Law proposal, a pivotal moment for scientists advocating for healthier soils. While a step forward, experts from WUR, including Rachel Creamer, Liesje Mommer, and Fenny van Egmond, argue the law needs to be more stringent. Critics stress the need for greater ambition. 🌱

These scientists penned a joint letter to Brussels, suggesting improvements in soil health measurement and pollution monitoring. Despite challenges, they push for a law reflecting the latest scientific knowledge—a collective push toward a greener, healthier Europe. 🔬 Creamer, Mommer, and Van Egmond, supported by signatures, will submit their Scientific Response Letter soon, hoping to shape legislation for a sustainable future.
