Paris Urban – Parc Suzanne Lenglen Case Study

The Park Suzanne Lenglen comprises two areas: i) the park, managed by the Mairie de Paris, and ii) the farm on the two vegetable roofs, managed by Culture en Ville. Within the park, the lawns are managed differently, with more or less frequent mowing or clipping. On the roofs, shrubbery and vegetable gardens are planted on Technosols constructed mainly from organic waste and bricks and managed with organic pratices

Objectives

  • The aim of the monitoring program set up on this site is to track soil biodiversity from 2021 onwards, by observing changes in the roofs and the park over time and in the management practices implemented.

Local focus

  • Type of food productions and differential management
