Soil nutrients include the macronutrients nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca),
magnesium (Mg) and sulphur (S). In addition, the soil supplies micronutrients (boron, copper, iron,
manganese, chloride, molybdenum, zinc), whose concentrations in plants are typically one or two orders of magnitude less than those of macronutrients.
